He builds zero-waste systems that work at scale. He spent twelve years founding and running Algramo (2013–2025), where he scaled smart-refill and "pay-for-content" infrastructure from Santiago to six countries, onboarded more than 5,000 neighbourhood stores, and partnered with global brands including Unilever, Nestlé and Walmart. The Algramo model raised reuse rates from below 10% to above 80% in targeted communities and originated the "fracción" consumption framework — buy exactly what you need. In October 2025 he launched Common House, a London-based Zero Waste Studio that helps cities, brands and NGOs move from zero-waste strategy to day-to-day execution. The studio combines consulting, acceleration and venture building, with a focus on reuse, organics and waste prevention. In 2023 he was named UNEP Champion of the Earth in the Entrepreneurial Vision category — the United Nations' highest environmental honour. He chairs the UN Zero Waste Advisory Board as Vice President, and in 2026 was appointed Advisor to the COP31 High-Level Climate Champion in Istanbul. ## Now (updated 11 May 2026) - Building the first refill station with a retailer in Costa Rica, and the world's biggest zero-waste event in Istanbul (5–7 June 2026) - Advising the COP31 High-Level Climate Champion in Istanbul on zero waste - Chairing UN Zero Waste Advisory Board working sessions - Launching "Reuse for all" — an open-source platform to scale reuse models, with Röchling Foundation and Yunus Environment Hub - Writing articles and reflections on the Post-Optimistic era - Re-visiting "This is Service Design Thinking" - Based in London.
